The Ministry of Interior announced today, Friday, the arrest of 15 suspects and the seizure of unlicensed weapons in Baghdad and Babylon. The Ministry said in a statement: "The security effort of the Federal Police's mechanized division, with the support of the intelligence effort and the attached units, resulted in the arrest of (15) suspects according to the legal articles (threatening, impersonation, quarreling, violating residence affairs, violating the storage of petroleum products) in the (Shuhada Al-Bayaa) area in Baghdad and a number of areas of Babylon Governorate." The statement added: "The units of the Sixth Brigade of the Federal Police also carried out a search campaign for unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Dur Al-Salam, Al-Mwasalat, Al-Jihad neighborhood) in Baghdad, which resulted in the seizure of (two Kalashnikov rifles, 56 bullets, two pistols, 6 ammunition magazines), and the accused were referred with the seized weapons to the competent authorities."
