Doha: The 15th international forum for Arab studies is underway in Beijing, organized by the China-Arab Research Center for Culture and Tourism Cooperation (CACTCRC) in collaboration with Beijing International Studies University (BISU). The event sees participation from 200 representatives hailing from government entities, universities, research institutes, and companies, both from China and internationally.

According to Qatar News Agency, the primary focus of the forum is on the cooperation in culture and tourism between China and Arab nations. This aligns with the release of the Arab-China culture and tourism index of 2025, collaboratively developed by the School of Tourism Sciences and CACTCRC at BISU. Over 60 experts and researchers are actively engaging in the forum's sessions, discussing various topics related to cultural and tourism collaboration, regional systems, and innovation in research.

An official from China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation emphasized the significance of increasing studies on the Arab world. The official highlighted the necessity of strengthening mutual understanding and aligning aspirations to deepen exchanges between China and Arab countries. This cooperation is seen as pivotal in building a future that connects the two regions.

The forum continues to serve as a vital platform for intellectual dialogue and academic exchange between China and Arab countries, promoting knowledge exchange and utilizing tourism as a means to foster strong connections, particularly among the youth.
