Naalehu: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck southeast of Naalehu, Hawaii.
According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey reported that the quake occurred 45 kilometers off Naalehu, at a depth of 7.2 kilometers.
Hawaii is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region where numerous tectonic plates converge, leading to frequent volcanic and seismic activity. This area is also home to the active volcanic mountain, Kilauea, which contributes to the region's seismic characteristics.
