Jerusalem: Around 70,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque today, despite heightened Israeli security measures around the mosque and Old City.

According to Qatar News Agency, Palestinians continue to call for worship at Al Aqsa, rejecting Israeli attempts to alter its historical and legal status amid ongoing settler incursions and restrictions on access.
