The people of Al-Khalis District in Diyala Governorate blocked Baghdad-Kirkuk road in protest against the delay in implementing Jizani Al-Jul Road development project. The organizer of the demonstration, Salam Idan Kazem, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that "dozens of people from Jizani al-Jul region, north of Baqubah, took the streets in a demonstration and blocked a strategic road linking Baghdad to the northern regions in protest against the Diyala administration's reluctance to implement Jizani al-Jul road development project, which has been on hold for more than seven months .
