The Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Qais Khazali, condemned the Turkish incursion into northern Iraq. Al-Khazali said in a comment on the X platform, 'We strongly condemn the recent Turkish incursion into the lands of our beloved country, and while we affirm Iraq's position rejecting the use of Iraqi lands to attack neighboring countries, we warn against attempts to exploit this as an excuse to occupy parts of our beloved country in Iraqi Kurdistan, and creating a new border line, by cutting off vast areas of Iraqi territory. He called on the Kurdistan Regional Government to coordinate with the federal government, to take a unified position that puts an end to Turkish ambitions in our beloved north. He also called on neighboring Turkey to respect the rights of the neighbourhood, adhere to the agreements between the two countries, and withdraw its forces from all of Iraq, after which it would rely on Iraq to prevent any aggression against its territory that comes from its territory.
