Doha: The unified standing committee for the selection of military officer candidates has announced an application window for individuals aiming to join military colleges under the Diploma - Other Ranks category. The application period, which spans from August 8 to 29, is specifically designed for male and female holders of the General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the committee has set forth eligibility criteria that applicants must meet. Applicants must be Qatari nationals and should not exceed 26 years of age at the time of application. Additionally, they are required to have a good reputation and conduct, with no previous convictions for felonies or crimes that compromise honor or integrity, unless they have been fully rehabilitated.

Applicants must not have been dismissed from public service by any final disciplinary ruling. Medical fitness is also a crucial requirement, as determined by the competent medical committee. Furthermore, candidates are expected to pass physical fitness tests and a personal interview conducted by the selection committee.

The committee has detailed the necessary documents for application, which include a certified copy of the applicant's General Secondary School Certificate or an equivalency certificate for private school graduates, a copy of the applicant's ID card, a birth certificate, and a certificate from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau confirming that the applicant is not employed by any other government entity. The committee retains the right to impose additional requirements or tests if necessary.
