Jerusalem: Despite Israeli restrictions, approximately 60,000 Palestinians gathered at Al Aqsa Mosque to perform Friday prayers.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Department reported that tens of thousands of worshipers arrived at the mosque early in the morning.

Israeli authorities have, for the past three years, prevented thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza from accessing Al Aqsa for prayers.
