Bank of Palestine concluded its participation in the activities of the SIBOS 2023 exhibition and conference, which was held in Toronto, Canada, during the period from September 18 to 21, 2023. More than 9,000 participants, including senior leaders of financial and banking institutions and interested parties, participated in it. Various countries of the world in the Society for Global Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), which is a pioneering annual event in the global financial sector and the most important conference for global banks and financial institutions.
The bank was represented at the conference by Mr. Mahmoud Shawa, General Manager of the Bank of Palestine, Mr. Musa Shamiya, Director of the Operations Department, Mr. Suleiman Nasr, Director of the Compliance Monitoring and Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Department, Mr. Yazan Al-Masry, Director of the Treasury Department, and Mr. Adham Fawadla, Head of the Financial Institutions Department.
Through its participation in the conference, the bank aims to benefit from the global experiences of financial and banking institutions, in addition to linking and networking with a group of elite banks in the region and the world, consolidating relations with the correspondent banks that the bank deals with, and opening new and effective horizons at all levels, as well as His desire to learn about the latest developments that have occurred in the industry of banking products and services and information technology systems in the banking world and the banking sector.
The conference is the forty-fifth, and it is an important event and one of the largest conferences organized annually in the financial field in one of the cities around the world. To bring together experts in finance, economics and banking.
