Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for strong winds and high seas offshore tonight, despite inshore conditions remaining fine until 6:00 am on Saturday, as noted in its daily weather report.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore winds are expected to be northwesterly at 08 - 18 KT, with gusts reaching up to 23 KT at times. The sea state offshore is anticipated to range from 2 to 5 feet, potentially rising to 7 feet at times. Inshore, the winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 06 - 16 KT, gusting to 22 KT at first, with a sea state of 1 to 3 feet, rising to 4 feet at times.

Visibility is projected to be 04 to 09 kilometers inshore and 05 to 09 kilometers offshore. The report highlights the need for caution for those venturing offshore due to these conditions.
