Doha: Al Duhail opened their Doha Bank Stars League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Al Sailiya at Al-Bayt Stadium on Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Edmilson Junior scored twice for Al Duhail, with goals in the 62nd and 66th minutes, securing his team their first three points in the competition.

The first half concluded without any goals, despite Al Duhail having more possession and control of the game. Al Sailiya's disciplined defense prevented any breakthroughs, maintaining a clean sheet until halftime.

Both teams continued to create scoring opportunities in the second half, but Al Duhail maintained their lead to secure the win and begin their campaign with a valuable three points.
