As part of the pre-season training camp in Spain, Al Wakrah lost 0-2 to Castellon in their second friendly match in Malaga. The training camp, which runs until Aug. 1 is part of their preparations for the upcoming season. In their first friendly match of the camp, Al Wakrah drew 2-2 with Al Jazira from the UAE. They are set to conclude their external camp with a match against the Spanish team Antequera on Jul. 30 before returning to Doha, where they will kick off their Stars League campaign against Al Ahli at Al Janoub Stadium on Aug. 10.
