Football: Brighton Extends Gomez Contract to 2031

Brighton: Brighton and Hove Albion FC announced today that they extended the contract of their Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez to 2031.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Paraguayan player joined Brighton from Inter Miami in January 2015. Since then, he has made 56 appearances and scored 11 goals for the club.

Gomez also represented Paraguay at the 2016 World Cup, where he started in four of their five matches before the team was eliminated by France in the round of 16.

Looking ahead, Brighton will kick off their Premier League campaign at home against Aston Villa on August 23. Before that, they will face Norwegian side Tromso in a Europa League play-off on August 20.
