GCC Secretary-General and Egyptian Foreign Minister Address Regional Developments

Cairo: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, engaged in discussions with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty regarding issues of mutual interest and explored avenues to enhance relations between GCC states and Egypt to serve shared objectives and interests.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions included an exchange of views on the latest regional developments. Both parties emphasized the significance of supporting regional and international efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability. They reiterated the necessity of resolving disputes and outstanding issues through peaceful and diplomatic means and encouraged constructive dialogue among all parties involved in conflicts.

The meeting also covered the progress of the joint action plan between the GCC and Egypt, and the outcomes of the first GCC-Egyptian Investment Forum. Both sides agreed on the importance of continuing future editions of the forum, recognizing its role in bolstering trade between the two regions.
