United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres confirmed that the time has come to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip, and called on the parties to reach an agreement. Guterres wrote on the 'X' platform: 'It is time to end the terrible war in the Gaza Strip. It is time for the parties to show political courage and political will to finally reach an agreement.' He added: "This process must begin with an 'immediate ceasefire' and the 'unconditional release of all hostages.' US President Joe Biden announced yesterday, Friday, that Israel and Hamas had agreed to a framework agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees. Sources reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added new demands to the truce and hostage exchange agreement that would complicate the negotiations, or even frustrate them.
