The Houthi "Ansar Allah" movement in Yemen announced today, Sunday, downing an American drone in Saada Governorate and targeting a ship in the Gulf of Aden. The "Houthis" said in a statement that "an American MQ-9 aircraft was shot down while carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Saada Governorate with a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile." The statement added: "The ship (Groton) was targeted in the Gulf of Aden with a number of ballistic missiles, due to the company that owns it violating the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine on 04-08-2024." The Houthis targeted more than 70 ships by launching missiles and drones in their campaign, which resulted in the killing of 4 sailors. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
