Indonesia Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 70

Indonesia: The death toll from the powerful earthquake that struck Indonesia last Saturday has risen to 70, with at least 40,000 people displaced.

According to Qatar News Agency, Indonesia's disaster management agency reported that at least 1,100 people were injured, and 40,000 individuals are currently residing in shelters, including 12,800 on Flores Island.

More than 2,100 aftershocks have been recorded since the initial earthquake on Saturday. While additional government aid has started to arrive by land, sea, and air, there are still shortages of essential supplies such as food, drinking water, tents, and sanitation facilities.
