The Joint Operations Command revealed solutions to limit the targeting of electric power towers across the country.

The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Major General Tahsin Al-Khafaji, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): "According to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on the need to protect the electric power towers, the forces of the leaderships of Salah al-Din, al-Jazeera and western Nineveh carried out a security operation yesterday, according to a special plan, aims to redeploy security forces, protect electric power towers, pursuit of ISIS elements, and redistribute security forces according to the danger points in those areas.

He added, "The intelligence in those areas has been strengthened and intensified, and aerial reconnaissance by helicopters and drones has been activated, and a number of identified terrorists have been pursued in many areas."

He pointed out: "The security operation and redeployment continues until now, and during the past two days it has achieved very good results by finding many explosive devices and terrorist guesthouses, which were destroyed."
