Kuwait Bourse Reports Mixed Performance as Indices Show Varied Trends

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with the All Share Index losing 7.95 points to reach 8,839.98 points, marking a decrease of 0.09 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 571 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 124.4 million, which is approximately USD 383.7 million, across 32,058 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced an increase, gaining 41.57 points to reach 9,176.35 points, an upward movement of 0.46 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 441.2 million shares via 23,880 transactions, amassing a value of KWD 82 million, or approximately USD 251 million.

Conversely, the Premier Market Index witnessed a decline, losing 18.89 points to settle at 9,227.19 points, representing a decrease of 0.20 percent. This was from 129.7 million shares traded through 8,178 transactions, valued at KWD 43.3 million, or roughly USD 132.4 million.

The Bourse Main 50 Index also fell, losing 82.39 points to close at 10,918.46 points, a decline of 0.75 percent. This occurred through a stock volume of 267.2 million shares, conducted in 13,681 deals, with a total value of KWD 45.3 million, approximately USD 138.6 million.
