Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah held phone calls Tuesday with several Arab counterparts to discuss regional developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions included a call with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani, focusing on diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, restore calm, and strengthen regional security and stability. In another conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, both parties emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain regional developments.

The discussions also highlighted the necessity of returning to the US-Iran memorandum of understanding as a basis for resuming diplomacy and reaching a sustainable settlement. They underscored the importance of respecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity, good-neighborly relations, and the security and freedom of international navigation. Furthermore, the Kuwaiti foreign minister engaged with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to deliberate on regional developments and de-escalation efforts.
