According to Qatar News Agency, United took an early lead through Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes in the 14th minute, followed by a second goal from Brazilian international Casemiro in the 37th. Chelsea pulled one back late in the match with a goal from Trevoh Chalobah in the 80th minute.

The game was marked by disciplinary drama, with Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez sent off in the fifth minute, forcing the visitors to play nearly the entire match with ten men. United’s Casemiro was also shown a red card in first-half stoppage time (45+5), leaving both sides short-handed.

The win lifts Manchester United to ninth place in the table with seven points, climbing five spots from 14th before the round. It marks the club’s second league win of the season.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continues to struggle. The reigning UEFA Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup champions have now gone three matches without a win, following a 2-2 draw with Brentford and a 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League opener. Saturday’s defeat leaves Chelsea with eight points in sixth place and marks their first Premier League loss of the season. They face Lincoln City in the third round of the EFL Cup in three days.

Elsewhere in the round, Fulham defeated Brentford 3-1, Leeds United beat Wolverhampton by the same score, and Crystal Palace edged West Ham 2-1. Burnley drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest, while Brighton and Tottenham played to a 2-2 stalemate.

Sunday’s fixtures will conclude the round with Bournemouth hosting Newcastle United, Sunderland facing Aston Villa, and Arsenal taking on Manchester City in the weekend’s headline match.
