MCIT Launches 1st Edition of “Digital Parenting” Series

Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) launched the 1st edition of the "Digital Parenting" series titled "A Guide to Protecting Children in the Digital Playground".

According to Qatar News Agency, the series was launched during the Doha International Book Fair 2026 and focuses on strengthening the role of families in building early digital awareness among children. It provides content connected to everyday family experiences, including safe device use, responsible engagement with digital content, awareness of potential risks in the digital environment, and encouraging open family dialogue around healthy digital habits.

Commenting on the occasion, Director of Digital Society and Digital Competencies at MCIT, Duha Al Buhendi, stated that the launch marks an important step towards helping parents keep pace with digital transformations. The series aims to equip families with knowledge-based tools relevant to their daily lives, contributing to raising a generation that is more aware and capable of using technology safely and positively.

MCIT concluded its participation in the Book Fair through the Safe Space initiative, which engaged children and families, highlighting the importance of digital awareness and promoting responsible behaviors in technology use. The series offers valuable guidance for families, helping parents understand digital challenges and support their children in using technology safely.

MCIT's participation in the Doha International Book Fair 2026 is part of its broader efforts to enhance community awareness of digital safety, promote responsible technology use, and support safer digital behaviors, aligning with the objectives of the sixth pillar of the Digital Agenda 2030.
