Doha: The Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has launched the third season of its summer program, "Our Summer, Our Way," with participation of over a thousand students across ten Da'wah centers distributed throughout the country. Director of the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance, Malallah Abdul Rahman Al Jaber, emphasized that the goals of this year's program include enhancing the participants' faith and moral development, building their personal skills and capacities in various educational and developmental aspects, and teaching them essential religious knowledge. He noted that the department has allocated valuable prizes for participants at the end of the program and will distribute certificates to the students. Al Jaber added that the program has received significant interest and participation from young people aged 10 to 15 across the country. It includes engaging activities and programs that fill their summer vacation with beneficial and e njoyable experiences. The program runs four days a week (Sunday - Wednesday) and concludes on August 1. He explained that the Department of Da'wah ensured that the activity locations are suitable for the summer program, with the ten chosen centers equipped with facilities and services that support a variety of activities for the participants. These centers are geographically distributed to cover the main areas of the country. Activities at the centers during the "Our Summer, Our Way" program include interesting segments on the Quranic concepts of several short Surahs, a diverse values-based educational and recreational program within the centers, and external recreational programs in collaboration with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). Additionally, there are training programs, skill-building sessions, and awareness courses in various fields, such as cyber security, traffic safety, first aid, and voice improvement, in cooperation with the Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, Hamad Medical C orporation, and the Museum of Islamic Art. The centers hosting the "Our Summer, Our Way" activities this year are: Qanbar Al Ansari Mosque (1209) in Al Wakrah; Ismail bin Ali Al Emadi Mosque (1190) in Al Thumama; Dar Al Salam Mosque (266) in Abu Hamour; Nasser bin Abdullah Al Misnad Mosque (212) in Al Khor; Maryam bint Khalifa Al Attiyah Mosque (474) in Bin Omran; Moza bint Ali Al-Thani Mosque (221) in Dafna; Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz Mosque (918) in Muaither; Misfer bin Nasser Al Shahwani Mosque (1155) in Al Shahaniya; Mohammed Hamad Al Mana Mosque (942) in Al Waab; Saad Mohammed Jibran Al Kaabi Mosque (1297) in Labeeb.
