MSDF Strategy 2025-2030: Building a Resilient Society Through Empowerment

Doha: HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of supporting priority groups in creating cohesive and resilient societies. She stated, "By strengthening families, empowering women, supporting priority groups, fostering active and responsible communities, and promoting productive and independent lives, we are building a more cohesive and resilient society for generations to come."

According to Qatar News Agency, this statement was made during the Dean's Lecture Series at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), where Her Excellency discussed Qatar's strategic roadmap for social development. The lecture highlighted the Ministry of Social Development and Family Strategy 2025-2030, titled "From Care to Empowerment." This strategy aligns with Qatar's Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030 and focuses on building a resilient society.

HE Al Nuaimi outlined the strategy's five pillars: strengthening family unity, women's empowerment, supporting vulnerable groups, building social solidarity, and comprehensive social protection. These pillars aim to enhance life quality and social cohesion within the country.

She stressed that the strategy marks a significant shift in Qatar's approach to social development, underscoring that its success hinges on collaboration across various sectors, including government, the private sector, civil society, and the wider community.

"Our vision is to move from care to empowerment, creating the conditions for individuals and families to thrive and contribute fully to society," she reiterated. The presentation was part of CMU-Q's Dean's Lecture Series, which has been a platform for leaders in government, industry, and academia to share their insights for over 15 years.
