Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index concluded trading at 7,580.14 points on Sunday, experiencing a decline of 23.1 points or 0.3 percent from the prior session's closing of 7,603.23 points. The trading session saw a decrease in the market's overall performance as reflected in the index's downward movement.

According to Qatar News Agency, the value of trades conducted during the session totaled OMR 31,829,378, marking a significant drop of 34.2 percent compared to OMR 48,362,295 observed in the previous trading day. This substantial decrease in trading value signals a notable shift in market activity and investor participation.

Furthermore, the report indicated a reduction in market capitalization by 0.119 percent, moving from the prior day's OMR 39.35 billion to OMR 39.31 billion. This change in market capitalization reflects the overall decrease in the value of listed companies on the exchange, aligning with the observed decline in the index points.
