New york: The State of Qatar has reaffirmed its strong commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, highlighting its integration within Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030). The strategy reflects Qatar’s determination to transform global commitments into tangible national progress.
According to Qatar News Agency, this declaration was made by HE Secretary General of the National Planning Council (NPC) Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa during the ministerial segment of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
In addition, the NPC announced via its X platform that HE Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa took part in a panel discussion on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum. This discussion centered on demographic resilience and sustainable development.
The Council further explained that Qatar’s approach is backed by robust data aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030. It noted that the country has already begun realizing tangible outcomes in labor force participation, education planning, and sustainable development.
During the event, His Excellency highlighted several initiatives by Qatar, including the development of a data-driven strategic framework aimed at addressing key demographic challenges such as declining fertility rates, an aging population, and labor market imbalances.
