Oil Prices Fall as Markets Monitor Middle East Developments

Oil prices fell today:eek winning streak, as markets continued to monitor developments in the Middle East amid stalled talks between the United States and Iran. Brent crude futures declined by 25 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $89.45 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude futures slipped by 22 cents, also 0.3 percent, to $83.31 a barrel.

According to Qatar News Agency, both benchmarks are set to close the week lower, with Brent down about 5.3 percent and West Texas Intermediate lower by 4.3 percent.
