Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi discussed the latest developments in the region with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper during a phone call on Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on the challenges posed by the current situation and highlighted the need for increased coordination and consultation to manage tension and escalation effectively.
The ministers emphasized the importance of collective cooperation to ensure the resumption of freedom of navigation and the safety of supply chains and maritime trade in the region.
Additionally, they explored aspects of cooperation between Oman and the United Kingdom, considering ways to develop and expand these ties to achieve greater mutual benefits and strengthen the Gulf-British partnership at both the commercial and economic levels.
