Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Secretary of State of the United States of America Antony Blinken. During the call, they discussed the close strategic relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation also focused on ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of prisoners and hostages. Additionally, developments in Syria were discussed. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s hope that both parties would commit to implementing the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of prisoners and hostages.

HE the Secretary of State of the United States conveyed the US appreciation for Qatar’s role and its ongoing efforts that contributed to reaching the agreement.
