Prime Minister’s Upcoming China Visit to Focus on Strategic Relations and Regional Stability

Doha: Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari announced that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani will begin a visit to the People's Republic of China tomorrow, from September 7 to 8.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Ansari stated that during the visit, HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will hold a series of meetings with senior Chinese officials. These discussions will focus on the strategic relations between the two countries and explore ways to strengthen and develop these ties across various fields. Additionally, there will be an emphasis on expanding economic and investment cooperation to serve the shared interests of both nations.

The meetings are also set to cover major regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting security and stability in the region. Furthermore, discussions will highlight the importance of ensuring the security and freedom of international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
