According to Qatar News Agency, Al Hashmi highlighted Qatar's commitment to reaching an agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz during the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' weekly media briefing. He stressed that the priority is for all parties to reach a consensus on a solution to the crisis.

Al Hashmi reiterated the importance of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz for all nations. He affirmed Qatar's continuous collaboration with regional and international partners to foster dialogue and achieve a comprehensive solution to this challenge.

He noted Qatar's efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy for peaceful conflict resolution, emphasizing the importance of negotiations.

He confirmed ongoing efforts to address the crisis, as it affects the entire world, and announced a Qatari delegation's participation in the UN General Assembly, where this crisis will be a primary discussion point.
