Qatar airways: Qatar Airways has strengthened its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the resumption of services to four destinations this winter. Flights to Qassim (ELQ) will resume on Oct. 25, 2026, followed by Taif (TIF) on Oct. 31, 2026, Yanbu (YNB) on Jan. 2, 2027, and Tabuk (TUU) on Jan 3, 2027.

According to Qatar News Agency, the airline announced it would operate two weekly flights for each of the four resumed destinations, enhancing travel options and providing seamless access to Qatar Airways' global network of over 160 destinations. This expansion is part of Qatar Airways' long-term commitment to the Saudi market and aims to enhance regional connectivity. The airline plans to operate over 155 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia this winter, marking a more than 10 percent increase in weekly services compared to the summer season.

Over the past year, Qatar Airways has transported over 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and its global network. In June 2026, the airline increased its Riyadh service from 35 to 49 weekly flights, offering passengers greater flexibility and a wider range of connections through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.

In addition to its expanded operations, Qatar Airways passengers on some of the busiest Saudi routes can access next-generation onboard connectivity. The airline offers complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi on flights serviced by widebody aircraft equipped with Starlink technology, particularly on routes to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. In July 2026 alone, over 685 flights on these routes were equipped with Starlink, enhancing the passenger experience with high-speed, gate-to-gate internet connectivity.
