Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Oman Climate Week 2026, held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 14 to 16. The Qatari delegation was led by HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.

According to Qatar News Agency, following the ceremony, Dr. Al Subaie toured an exhibition accompanying the event. The exhibition showcased initiatives, projects, and the latest technologies presented by participating government entities, companies, and institutions. These presentations focused on various fields such as environmental protection, sustainability, clean energy, resource management, circular economy, and climate technologies.

The State of Qatar's involvement in Oman Climate Week 2026 aligns with its commitment to enhancing regional and international cooperation and partnerships in climate initiatives. The participation underscores Qatar's dedication to exchanging expertise and experiences in environmental protection and transitioning to a low-carbon green economy, supporting joint efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
