Zagreb:A delegation from the State of Qatar is taking part in the 32nd European international competition for memorization and recitation of the Holy Qur'an, held in Zagreb, Croatia, from September 24 to 26. The participation is supported by the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Qur'an Competition.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation is led by Salman Khidr Al Atwi from the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs. The team includes contestant Ibrahim Mohammed Hashem Al Mashhadani, who will compete in the category of memorizing the complete Holy Qur'an, and his companion Sadiq Allah Latif Allah. Additionally, Mohamed Ahmed Abdulrahim Al Harem is serving as a member of the judging panel.

This involvement highlights the Ministry's dedication to promoting the memorization of the Holy Qur'an and enhancing participants' skills. It also aims to support Qatari talents in international Qur'anic events and facilitate the exchange of expertise among memorizers and readers from various countries.

The participation is in line with the Ministry's strategic goals for 2025-2030 and the Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly focusing on human development. It aims to nurture a generation that is rooted in its identity and Islamic values, capable of representing Qatar with distinction in regional and global forums.
