Qatar National Bank Announces New Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Monday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) reveal a detailed structure across several currencies, reflecting current financial conditions. The bank has issued specific rates for USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD for various deposit terms ranging from one month to twelve months.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 3.73426% for a one-month deposit, gradually decreasing to 3.48648% for a twelve-month deposit. Meanwhile, the Japanese Yen (JPY) rates begin at 0.45000% for a one-month term, increasing to 0.70000% for a twelve-month period.

For the Swiss Franc (CHF), rates are negative, beginning at -0.13000% for one and three months and slightly improving to -0.01000% for six and twelve months. The British Pound (GBP) rates show a slight fluctuation, with one-month deposits at 3.88000% and reaching 3.91000% for a twelve-month deposit.

In local and regional currency rates, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) offers 4.08333% for a one-month deposit, tapering to 3.75000% for a twelve-month term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) maintains a consistent rate of 4.30000% from two months onward up to twelve months. The UAE Dirham (AED) starts at 2.05000% for a one-month term, increasing to 3.15000% for a year-long deposit. Finally, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) offers the highest initial rate of 4.53000% for a one-month deposit, decreasing to 4.36000% for a twelve-month deposit.

These rates reflect the bank’s strategic approach to managing deposit offerings amid fluctuating global and regional economic conditions.
