Doha: Deposit rates at the Qatar National Bank (QNB) were issued on Sunday, detailing the rates for various currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 4.35134% for a one-month period and decrease to 4.06142% for a twelve-month period. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates begin at 0.40000% for one month and increase to 0.65000% for a twelve-month deposit. The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows negative rates, beginning at -0.18000% for a one-month deposit and slightly improving to -0.04000% for twelve months.
The British Pound (GBP) rates start at 4.00000% for a one-month deposit and slightly increase to 4.10000% for twelve months. As for local currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) maintains a rate of 4.80000% for one and two-month deposits, then decreases to 4.45000% for a twelve-month deposit.
The Saudi Riyal (SAR) rates begin at 4.90000% for a one-month deposit, peaking at 5.10000% for periods of three and six months, before slightly decreasing to 5.05000% for twelve months. The UAE Dirham (AED) starts at 2.05000% for a one-month deposit and increases to 3.15000% for twelve months.
Lastly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) shows a starting rate of 5.30000% for a one-month deposit, with the rate decreasing to 4.94000% for a twelve-month deposit.
