Qatar National Bank Announces New Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at the Qatar National Bank (QNB) were released on Sunday, providing insights into the current interest rates for a variety of currencies and maturities.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the U.S. Dollar (USD) have been set at 4.15457% for one month, decreasing gradually to 3.61165% for twelve months. In contrast, the Japanese Yen (JPY) deposit rates start lower at 0.25000% for one month, climbing to 0.70000% for a twelve-month deposit. The Swiss Franc (CHF) exhibits negative interest rates, with a one-month rate of -0.18000% and a twelve-month rate of -0.07000%.

For the British Pound (GBP), the rates begin at 3.97000% for one month and increase to 4.20000% over twelve months. In the Middle Eastern currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) starts at 4.85000% for one month and decreases to 4.40000% for twelve months. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) maintains a relatively stable rate, starting at 5.00000% for one month and slightly dropping to 4.95000% for twelve months.

The United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) shows an increasing trend from 2.05000% for one month to 3.15000% for twelve months. Meanwhile, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) begins at 5.09000% for one month and declines to 4.50000% for twelve months. These rates reflect QNB’s strategic adjustments in response to economic conditions and currency fluctuations.
