Qatar National Bank Announces Updated Deposit Rates Across Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Tuesday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) reflect varying figures across several currencies including the USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD. The rates are structured over different time maturities, namely 1 month (1M), 2 months (2M), 3 months (3M), 6 months (6M), and 12 months (12M), offering a glimpse into the current financial environment.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar (USD) range from 3.95882% for a 1-month term to 3.59580% for a 12-month term. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates start at 0.40000% for 1 and 2-month terms, gradually increasing to 0.65000% for a 12-month period. The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows a negative interest trend, with rates from -0.03000% in 1 month to -0.02000% over 12 months. The British Pound (GBP) rates vary slightly, beginning at 3.93000% for a 1-month term and adjusting to 3.92000% for a 12-month term.

For local and regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) rates start at 4.31250% for a 1-month term, decreasing to 3.81250% for a 12-month term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) maintains a consistent rate of 4.55000% for 2, 6, and 12-month terms after an initial 1-month rate of 4.75000%. The UAE Dirham (AED) rates begin at 2.05000% for a 1-month term, increasing to 3.15000% over a 12-month period. The Bahraini Dinar (BHD) shows a higher rate initially at 5.07000% for a 1-month term, then stabilizes at 4.63000% for longer terms up to 12 months.
