Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), British Pound (GBP), Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD). These rates were issued on Thursday and reflect the current financial climate in Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 4.32710 for a 1-month deposit and gradually decrease to 3.86656 for a 12-month deposit. The JPY shows a 1-month rate of 0.35000, which slightly increases to 0.55000 for a 12-month deposit. The CHF has a negative rate, starting at -0.17000 for a 1-month deposit and moving to -0.05000 for both 6-month and 12-month deposits. For GBP, the rates begin at 4.15000 for 1-month and rise to 4.26000 for a 3-month deposit before settling at 4.17000 for a 12-month deposit.
In terms of local and regional currencies, the QAR rates begin at 4.85000 for a 1-month deposit and decrease to 4.50000 for a 12-month deposit. The SAR rates increase from 4.90000 for a 1-month deposit to 5.10000 for both 3-month and 6-month deposits, then slightly reduce to 5.05000 for a 12-month deposit. The AED rates start at 2.05000 for a 1-month deposit, peaking at 3.15000 for a 12-month deposit. The BHD rates begin at 5.28000 for a 1-month deposit and decrease to 4.85000 for a 12-month deposit.
