Bandung: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center of the Ministry of Culture is taking part in the Asian Stamp Exhibition in Bandung, Indonesia, which runs from August 27 to 31. This exhibition is organized under the auspices of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) and includes meetings of the federation's Executive Committee.
According to Qatar News Agency, the center is presenting five stamp exhibits that have previously achieved significant recognition at international exhibitions. These exhibits include Qatar's first definitive stamps consisting of eight frames, an exploration of Kuwait's postal history with eight frames, five frames detailing Oman's postal history, and another five frames illustrating the postal history of the Yemeni city of Aden. Additionally, there is a unique exhibit featuring interned covers from World War II, showcasing materials from both the United States and Switzerland.
The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center holds membership in both the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) and FIAP, and also plays a role on FIAP's Executive Committee. The center is dedicated to actively participating in international exhibitions organized by FIP and FIAP. Its mission is to promote and support the hobby of stamp and coin collecting, facilitating its growth and providing members with opportunities to engage and advance in this pursuit.
