Doha: The Qatar Scientific Club has launched the 2nd phase of the Youth Inventors Program. The program is part of a national initiative introduced by the Ministry of Sports and Youth during Web Summit Qatar 2026. It aims to identify and nurture talented youth between the ages of 15 and 30 with an interest in science, technology, and innovation.
According to Qatar News Agency, participants in the 2nd phase had already undergone the mandatory 1st phase, the Design Thinking phase, which concluded on August 4. The Engineering Design phase, the three-day long 2nd phase, will focus on engineering design methods, technical drafting, and material selection, as to produce innovative solutions and prototypes. Participants will, thus, narrow down their broad ideas to more detailed ones and give their projects a tangible form.
The 3rd and final phase, the Project Implementation phase, is set to commence at the end of August. It will conclude with the winning students presenting their projects before a judging panel.
