Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange index concluded Wednesday's trading session on a lower note, with a decrease of 5.84 points, or 0.06 percent, closing at 9,851.49.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session saw the trading of 140,698,123 shares, accumulating a total value of QR 391,511,719.344, executed through 26,833 transactions across various sectors. The trading activity reflected a mixed market sentiment, as shares of 21 companies witnessed gains, while 30 companies experienced declines. Meanwhile, two companies' share prices remained unchanged from their previous closing levels.

The market capitalization at the close of the session stood at QR 594,078,407,480.286, marking a slight decrease compared to QR 594,843,657,863.070 recorded in the previous session.
