Doha: The Qatar Stock Index closed lower on Monday, dropping by 33.96 points, or 0.35 percent, to reach 9,766.05 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the session, a total of 289.7 million shares were traded, amassing a total value of QR 681.1 million. These transactions were spread across 35,421 trades encompassing all sectors of the market.

In the trading session, shares of 28 companies saw an increase, while 21 companies experienced a decline. Additionally, four companies maintained their previous closing price, indicating no change in their share value.

At the conclusion of the trading day, the market capitalization was recorded at QR 571.6 billion, showing a decrease from QR 575.2 billion in the previous session.
