Qatar Women’s Volleyball Team Ends Campaign with Defeat to Lebanon

Amman: Qatar women's volleyball team concluded its participation in the 3rd West Asian Volleyball Championship in Amman, Jordan, with a 3-0 loss to Lebanon (26-6, 25-18, 25-19) in the final round.

According to Qatar News Agency, defending champions Lebanon secured their third consecutive victory to finish at the top of the standings and retain the title. The match marked Lebanon's dominance in the tournament, as they continued their winning streak and solidified their position as the leading team in the region.

The host nation, Jordan, placed second after defeating Iraq 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21), showcasing their strong performance throughout the tournament. Iraq, after a competitive series of matches, finished third, while Qatar secured the fourth position in the standings.

Qatar's journey in the championship was challenging, as they previously suffered 3-0 defeats against Jordan (25-12, 25-23, 25-16) and Iraq (25-13, 25-18, 25-21). The round-robin tournament featured fierce competition among the four participating teams: Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, highlighting the competitive spirit and skill level in the region's volleyball scene.
