Doha: Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) has reported a net profit of QAR 662 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, a slight decrease from QAR 680 million recorded during the same period last year.

According to Qatar News Agency, QEWC’s earnings per share (EPS) for the first half of 2025 were QAR 0.60, compared to QAR 0.62 in the first half of 2024. The company reported revenue of QAR 1,445 million, a modest increase from QAR 1,431 million in the previous year. However, operating profit saw a decline, registering QAR 504 million compared to QAR 616 million during the same period in 2024.

The company’s Board of Directors has approved an interim cash dividend distribution for the first half of 2025 at QAR 0.244 per share, representing 24.4% of the share’s nominal value. These dividends will be distributed to shareholders recorded at the close of the trading session on August 11, 2025. The total amount allocated for interim dividend payments for the first half of the year totals QAR 268.4 million.
