Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 20.92 points, or 0.21 percent, at the beginning of trading on Monday, reaching 10,151 points, compared to yesterday's closing. QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Telecoms by 0.55%; Industrials by 0.28%; Transportation by 0.25%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.17%; and Banks and Financial Services by 0.12%. However, the index saw a rise in Insurance by 0.22%; and Real Estate by 0.05%. By 10:00 am, 27.389 million shares were traded in 2,783 transactions valued QR 62.801 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
