Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index fell below the 10,000-point threshold at the beginning of Sunday's trading, reaching 9,994 points. It lost 0.40 percent, equivalent to 40.16 points, affected by pressure from five sectors. QSE figures showed a negative performance for the transportation sector by 0.91 percent, the real estate sector by 0.62 percent, the industrial sector by 0.44 percent, the banks and financial services sector by 0.31 percent, and the insurance sector by 0.03 percent. In contrast, the communications sector saw a positive performance by 0.20 percent, and the consumer goods and services sector rose by 0.07 percent. At 10:00 am, QSE recorded 1634 transactions worth QAR 43.234 million, distributed over 23.915 million shares. Source: Qatar News Agency
