Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 0.37 percent at the beginning of Thursdays trading, losing 37.33 points and thus falling to 10,100 points under pressure from all sectors. QSE attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the real estate sector by 0.91 percent, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.54 percent, the transportation sector by 0.41 percent, the banking and financial services sector by 0.24 percent, the telecommunications sector by 0.18 percent, the industrial sector by 0.07 percent and the insurance sector by 0.06 percent. At around 10:00 am, QSE recorded 1,860 transactions worth QAR 51.205 million, distributed over 19.713 million shares. Source: Qatar News Agency
