QSE Index Opens Lower

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 36.95 points, or 0.35%, to 10,544 points at the start of trading on Tuesday, compared to the previous session's close. The market experienced a decline across five sectors, impacting the overall performance of the index.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Telecoms sector led the declines with a drop of 1.07%. This was followed by the Industrials sector, which fell by 0.77%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.54%, Transportation by 0.16%, and Insurance by 0.03%. Despite these declines, the Consumer Goods and Services sector showed a gain of 1.81%, while the Real Estate sector increased by 0.18%.

By 10:00 am, QSE recorded a total turnover of QR 94.284 million, with 40.440 million shares traded across 4,157 transactions. These figures reflect the active trading environment and the fluctuations within various sectors contributing to the overall market performance.
