QSE Index Opens Lower

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 16.08 points, or 0.15%, to 10,591 points at the start of trading on Wednesday, compared with the previous session’s close. Market data showed gains in Telecoms (+1.30%), Transportation (+0.41%), and Consumer Goods and Services (+0.10%). However, the index was weighed down by losses in Industrials (-0.74%), Real Estate (-0.38%), Insurance (-0.34%), and Banks and Financial Services (-0.04%).

According to Qatar News Agency, by 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 45.582 million from 21.969 million shares traded across 2,144 transactions.
